Policy

Return & Refund Policy

Because we handle perishable and cold-chain inventory, claims are subject to strict inspection windows outlined below.

Last updated: September 2026
01

Perishable Time Windows

Fresh perishables (produce, chilled and short-shelf-life goods) must be inspected and, if necessary, rejected immediately at the loading dock at the time of delivery. Claims cannot be logged after the driver has departed.

Dry goods are allocated a 48-hour reporting window from the time of delivery to log any claim regarding shortage, damage or incorrect items.

02

Cold Chain Protection

To protect food safety, high-risk temperature-sensitive items — including fresh meat, dairy and seafood — cannot be accepted for return once our delivery trucks have left your facility. This protects the integrity of the cold chain and prevents products from re-entering inventory after leaving controlled storage.

Any concern with these items must be raised with the delivery driver before the truck departs.

03

Invoice Adjustments & Account Credits

Approved claims for shortages or rejected substitutions are not refunded in cash. Instead, they are automatically applied as a wholesale account credit within 2–3 business days of claim approval, ready to apply toward your next order.

04

Precautionary Disclaimer

All claims are reviewed against our food safety compliance procedures. LDC Foodie Bazaar reserves the right to decline a claim that does not meet the inspection windows or cold chain handling requirements outlined in this policy.

Food safety note:

These timeframes exist to protect the integrity of the cold chain and comply with applicable food safety regulations. Claims submitted outside the stated windows cannot be honoured.
